In Death’s Shadow

Death formally introduced himself to me when I was nine. Since then, I have stalked him and lived in his shadow. Until that formal introduction, I never knew his name, I just knew that he took away stuff and I would never see the same things again. This was to be the source of my obsession and the reason for the fights we have — all of which he would always win.
